Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

The slide presentation (Oct 11, 2007) reports development of benthic flux chamber (BFC) methods to directly measure fluxes of total mercury (THg), methylmercury (MeHg), manganese, and iron from South River substrates. Methods development is complete for fine-grain channel margin deposits and rock-plate simulations; embedded-gravel methods are ongoing using chloride tracer and attapulgite grout. Plans call for 3–4 sampling rounds next year.

Review Notes : The slides clearly show title and date (October 11, 2007) and describe BFC method development for FGCM (mud) and rock plates, with embedded-gravel work ongoing. The original filename includes 'srst-mtg' but the PDF itself does not identify a South River Science Team meeting affiliation, so I categorized it as a standalone Presentation.
