Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

Slide presentation by University of Delaware researchers Olesya Lazareva and Donald L. Sparks (South River Science Team Expert Panel, Oct 9, 2013) describing field investigations at RRM 3.5. Work included soil coring, installation of redox/soil moisture probes and piezometers, and water sampling for THg/MeHg and other chemistry. Slides note rainfall-driven redox changes and very high soil THg (up to 957 µg/g wet weight).

Review Notes : PDF is a slide deck for the South River Science Team Expert Panel (cover shows Oct 9, 2013). RRM 3.5 and specific sampling dates (July 2 and Oct 1, 2013) appear on slides. THg = 957 µg/g value is shown on a soil chemistry slide. No substantial uncertainties in category, date, or authorship were noted.
