Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

Presentation by Danny Reible (Texas Tech) reporting laboratory mesocosm experiments assessing mercury and methylmercury behavior in South River sediments. Methods include porewater DGT profiling, voltammetry, bioturbation tests with tubificids, and sorbing amendments (GAC, PM199, biochar, FeS). Results indicate reductions in porewater THg and MeHg and discuss further baseline and field application studies.
