Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

This ICMGP 2017 conference poster presents site-specific statistical models predicting responses of physical and biological compartments to reductions in mercury loading from South River bank erosion. Models (R2 ≈ 47–64%) integrate THg and MeHg in water, sediment, soil and fish, and evaluate scenarios (e.g., 50–100% bank-source reductions) to inform remediation and short-term monitoring design.
