Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

This slide deck reports baseline surface-water and sediment sampling for an ecological study of the South River and part of the South Fork Shenandoah River. Thirteen baseline and three reference stations were sampled monthly (March–July 2006). Slides summarize hydrology and mercury results: spatial and seasonal patterns in total mercury and methylmercury in particulate and filtered water and sediment, and notes on bioavailable (KOH-extractable) mercury.
