This technical report (Volume I) evaluates human-health risks from legacy mercury releases from the former DuPont Waynesboro Plant across AOC-4 (South River and segment of the South Fork Shenandoah River). It compiles monitoring data and an RDQA, identifies THg and MeHg as COPCs, assesses exposures via floodplain soils, sediment, fish, ponds, livestock, poultry and wildlife, and summarizes current and hypothetical future hazards.
