Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

This report summarizes a storm-event surface-water sampling campaign on the South River (June 27–July 5, 2006). Crews collected samples at seven bridge locations for TSS, filtered and unfiltered total mercury, and methylmercury during rising and falling hydrograph conditions. Manual submersible-pump methods were used; automated samplers were not employed. Samples were shipped to a contract laboratory for analysis.
