Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

Presentation reporting mercury (Hg) concentrations in South River fish tissue. ANCOVA (adjusting for fish length) was used to compare total Hg in largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and sunfish across monitoring stations and years (baseline 1977–83). Maps, station charts, and 2002 results show declines since 1996 but elevated levels remain at some sites.

Review Notes : Date was read from the cover slide (June 25, 2003). The Virginia DEQ logo appears but no explicit author is listed. Baseline years (1977–1983) and many station IDs are shown on slides; conclusions and trends are taken directly from slide text and charts.
