Slide presentation (Oct 3, 2001) reporting statistical analysis of total mercury (Hg) in South River fish and sediment. ANCOVA of log(Hg) versus log(length) was applied to multiple species. Results show highest fish Hg at stations 5–7 with a 1996 peak and lower values by 1999; no evidence of a downstream-moving plume. Sediment (1997) peaked near rivermile 5. Recommendations for standardized annual sampling are given.
