Serving Waynesboro, Augusta County & the Shenandoah Valley

AECOM’s post-construction maintenance inspection (conducted June 21, 2018; memorandum dated December 3, 2018) documents the City Shops Bank Management Area restoration. Planted rye grasses, saplings, rock toe, geocell and erosion fabric are generally intact; large woody debris and non-remediated reaches show localized scour and at-risk trees. The report recommends close monitoring of upstream erosion and a displaced LWD feature.

Review Notes : The PDF contains multiple dates: the inspection date (June 21, 2018), the AECOM memorandum date (December 3, 2018), and a DEQ cover letter dated April 23, 2019. I used the AECOM memorandum date (2018-12-03) as the document_date because the memo is the substantive inspection report; the DEQ letter is an accompanying acknowledgement.
