This document describes use of dual polycarbonate/Teflon flux chambers to measure dissolved mercury (Hg) and methylmercury (meHg) fluxes from South River sediments. Objectives include direct flux measurement across sediment types and comparison with surface and pore water. Chambers (refined with TAMU/Dr. Gill and DuPont) undergo cleaning; deployments use a 1-hour equilibration and 5-hour sampling protocol with oxygen-based sampling endpoints.
